Using my experience and training in counseling and/or psychotherapy, I seek to create an individual style with you that fits your needs and personality. People want straight talk from a psychologist, not psychobabble. They don’t want a passive therapist who just listens. Nor do they want a know-it-all to tell them exactly what to do. They want a competent psychologist who gives real feedback about what he sees going on. They want someone with real life experience who can relate to their problems.
The beginning of our work together will focus on my getting to know you so that I can understand what is troubling you and determine how I can help you most effectively. The work we do together will be specifically tailored to your needs. We will address the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Additionally, it is important to explore and understand your personal history as it will help us gain insight into patterns that emerge throughout your life. This understanding will help you begin to gain control over your thoughts, feelings and behaviors which will ultimately lead to an increased sense of satisfaction in your life and relationships.
