Fees for Services
Fees for Services
As I know it’s important to find the right fit, I can often provide you with referrals to other clinicians that might serve your needs better, as well as give you some general assistance in your search!
Rates are negotiable with Dr. Ramotar and sliding fees may be available depending on several factors such as availability and circumstance. Longer-term treatment rates may vary.
Please do not let cost deter you from accessing care, wellness, or quality clinical service.
Dr. Ramotar is currently an “out-of-network” provider and health insurance is not currently accepted. I can provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance PPO. (See below for explanation of insurance)
An ongoing, 1-hour per session consultation is $150 per hour; while a workshop/seminar/presentation is charged based on the length of preparation and the type of delivery of such event.
Combinations of various types of consultation at a reduced rate may be available based on agreeing on a specific package of consultation, such as 3 hours of SEO assessment of your website and feedback.
I do not accept insurance directly; my practice is presently fee for service. You may be able to collect up to 60-80% reimbursement from your insurance carrier. There are certain advantages to seeking therapy which does not involve your insurance carrier. These include finding the therapist of your choice, since an increasing number of providers are not participating in insurance panels, protecting your privacy, and deciding how long you will stay in therapy, rather than let your insurance carrier make that decision. However some plans require information about my services, which may include a diagnosis. In this case, I will do everything possible to release the most basic information necessary. I can provide you with any of the information an insurer may require, which will likely become part of their confidential databank.
It is important to read about your mental health coverage in your insurance coverage booklet and ask your insurance company some specific questions.
1. Whether your carrier provides have mental health benefits,
2. How many sessions are covered and how much is reimbursed,
3. What is your deductible,
4. Do you need any prior approvals,
5. What information does your insurance carrier need.
During our initial consultation I will set a fee for your sessions. If you agree, you may either choose to pay in full by cash, credit card or check at the end of each session, whereupon I will provide you a statement that says “paid in full” for you keep for your records or use to obtain out of network benefits, which will include the appropriate codes for you to submit to your insurance carrier to get reimbursed. I understand that the wish to improve your life must be weighed against the financial commitment you will make.
