Assessment and Testing Services

Evaluations can often be completed in as little as two weeks. Most of my evaluations include a detailed written report and feedback session.

Types of Evaluations

Psychoeducational
Used to assess for learning disabilities and attentional problems, and rule out other possible issues in academic achievement – meets requirements for standardized testing, school, or college accommodations
ADHD
Used to assess for attentional problems and rule out other possible issues in academic or occupational achievement – meets requirements to be considered for pharmacological treatment
Comprehensive Psychological
Used to assess clinical, personality, and cognitive issues related to current functioning – can clarify complex clinical issues which may involve substance abuse, thought disorder, identity issues, and cognitive deficits
Forensic
Used to assess clinical, personality, and cognitive issues related to current functioning – meets requirements for most court-ordered, forensic, or fitness-for-duty issues

IQ & Achievement
Used to assess intellectual and achievement levels, and assess for learning disabilities – meets requirements for the diagnosis of learning disabilities
Pre-Surgical
Used to assess clinical and personality characteristics related to specific situations – meets requirements for gastric bypass, spinal cord stimulation, in-vitro fertilization, and pre-adoption issues
Brief Psychological
sed to assess clinical and personality characteristics as they relate to general functioning – can be used to enhance clinical assessment and treatment planning

Specific Testing

In addition to general evaluations, I offer specific testing that does not include clinical interviews or feedback sessions. These procedures may yield somewhat less comprehensive information, but are generally much less time consuming and less expensive.
